Finding it hard to attract and retain staff? This could be why.

Industry News

Employee engagement is critical to the success of your organisation.

Although employee engagement might not be a new concept, it’s increasingly important to know what it is and what it means to your organisation.

Simply defined, employee engagement is the level of engagement or dedication an employee has towards your organisation and their attitudes and behaviours towards your organisations’ vision, mission, goals, and values.

A recent Hays Salary Guide survey discovered more than one-third of Australian employees are expected to quit their job in the next 12 months.

38% of workers are expected to leave in the current financial year with a further 39% open to new opportunities.

So, what can you do to retain your team once borders re-open and people can move around again?

Employee (or Organisational) surveys are an efficient way of getting to know what motivates your team, where any holes may be within the organisation, and a fantastic way to plan for the future. Survey results are also a wonderful way to review or develop your Employee Value Proposition.

Anonymous surveys, allow everyone to get involved and provide feedback; which can be used to give the organisation an in-depth understanding of the past, current, and future motivations and opportunities. When used to review and increase your employee engagement, you can expect to see results such as increased productivity, improvements in workplace morale, and reduced absenteeism.
