Food Experience Manager

Indigo Food Co. specialises in high quality, small-scale farm-gate goods working closely with local and regional producers.  This delivery of food services complements All Saints Estate’s reputation in providing Australia’s finest winery experience. In addition to the food store, All Saints Estate incorporates St Leonards Vineyard, Terrace Restaurant, Thousand Pound Wine Bar & Store and Mount Ophir Estate, all located in the Rutherglen Wine Region. 

Indigo Food Co. is looking for a Manager to be responsible for all day to day operations of the store, and in ensuring customers receive the highest quality customer service.

In your new role you will:

  • Be responsible for the Indigo Food Co operations including achieving sales and Wine Club targets, optimal stock control, accurate records, end of day processes and administration

  • Ensure the premises meets the highest possible standard of customer service, presentation and food safety

  • Lead and coordinate part-time and casual shop staff, fostering a culture of communication, teamwork and high performance

  • Proactively identify opportunities to promote products and services in order to build and strengthen customer relationships
     

You will have:

  • Thorough knowledge of cheese and the food industry 

  • Extensive experience in sales and supervising and motivating staff

  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal skills, strong organisational skills and attention to detail

  • Efficient skills in the operation of computer software programs, particularly the Microsoft Office suite

Desirable:

  • Interest in and knowledge of the wine industry/tourism/hospitality

  • Post-secondary education in Hospitality or equivalent

  • Food Safety Supervisor certificate

  • First Aid certificate
     

This is a full-time role working Thursday to Monday. Remuneration at $56k + super.
The successful candidate will need to undergo a police check and have a valid driver's licence.
You will hold a Food Safety and Handling certificate and RSA (VIC).

  • Ability to manage competing priorities, solve practical problems and deliver continuous improvement.

  • Excellent communication skills and computer skills including MS Suite, CAD, MYOB.
